TIM w.e.’s online dating service, Solemio.com, is now accessible via WAP, allowing everyone to use the service through a mobile phone.
By visiting http://mob.solemio.com one can search for their perfect match, meet new people, chat, exchange emails or update their profile no matter where one is. Like it already happened with the web version of Solemio, the access to the service is free - one can quickly register at no cost and immediately start looking for their better half.

> 07.11.2008 Vodafone Portugal and TIMw.e. have established an agreement for the deployment and management of the Ringtones, Videoclips and RingBacktones channels on Vodafone live!
Vodafone Portugal has selected TIMw.e. based on the long working relationship between the two companies that have worked together on digital contents since 2002. This initiative will provide to the Vodafone Portugal customers new features and a wider offer of content.

> 09.09.2008 Natta! is the brand used by TIM w.e in the Digital Entertainment arena with a unique image and look & feel.
Our activity is based on a model of service whereby we provide a wide range of products directly to users through SMS, WAP and MMS, involving close partnerships with a range of distribution channels including media companies, network operators, web portals, handset manufacturers and retailers. Since we’ve started natta! project we have already launched in: USA, Portugal, Ireland, Spain, Austria, Switzerland (French and German), South Africa, Latvia (Latvian and Russian) Estonia, Mexico and Sweden. The next countries to be launched will be Netherlands, Brazil, France and Bolivia.

> 29.04.2008 Torke changes Vibramóvel to Natta!
After having changed Lovebip’s image and name last month, to Solemio (made by Bus Consulting), TIM w.e. made the same to Vibramóvel, the contents brand that will change its name to Natta! in the 60 countries that the company operates. The changing of image was assured by Torke, and the new designation wants the brand to be “closer and more transparent near the young people all over the world”, having for that matter a “young and contemporary logo”. “The orange represents spontaneity, activity and dynamics. The yellow transmits light and is associated with entertainment and fun, which are the values that Natta! wants to convey to its users.” concluded TIM w.e..

Portugal’s TIM w.e has rebranded its Vibramóvel mobile content service as Natta!
The aim is to create an international brand offering ringtones, images, videos and games across more than 60 countries. It’s being pitched at teenagers.
Diogo Salvi, CEO of TIM w.e, said: “It’s important for us to be aware of who we’re selling to, so we can appeal to them in the right way. Making sure that the brand is recognisable and can be understood across different cultures and languages is the reason behind our re-branding exercise for this service and product line.”
TIM w.e. distributes value added services in mobile, online, offline and TV. It helps bring digital content to mobile handsets through b2b and b2c channels. The company has 21 offices worldwide and now operates in 60 countries, connecting to more than 200 mobile operators.

The 8th Venture Capital IT – International Congress of Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital, which occurred this week at Tagus Park through the initiative of Gesventure, has conceded another edition of the awards that distinguish the capacity of initiative and risk of the national managers. At this year initiative were contemplated the following:

  1. Year Entrepreneur: Luís Amaral, MBO’s leader from Eurocash in Poland;
  2. Year Intrapreneur: Xavier Rodriguez-Martin. ONI’s CEO;

> 03.04.2008 TIM w.e. picks the lorries
TIM w.e. (www.timwe.com), a rapidly expanding content, technology and service provider to mobile network operators and mobile users, has hired Red Lorry Yellow Lorry to handle its brand building, awareness and PR activities across the UK. TIM w.e. offers value added services in the mobile, online, offline and TV environments and brings digital content to mobile handsets through b2b and b2c channels. Working with Sony and Warner, for example, they make content ‘mobile’ by creating ring tones, video tones, wallpapers and Java games. They also partner with over 200 mobile operators across 60 countries - including O2, Orange, Telefonica and Vodafone. “The lorries stood out among the other agencies we saw. We’re 100% confident that they’ll successfully achieve our PR goals within a short period of time and build the profile we need here in the UK.” said Diogo Salvi, CEO at TIM w.e. The lorries will develop a strategic campaign designed to build brand awareness of the company among network operators, operating partners and industry peers while also increasing their position in the Mobile Value Added Services (MVAS) arena. The company that belongs to the brothers Carlos and Jorge Martins, was the big winner of the second national edition of the award given by Ernst & Young. An award given to two entrepreneurs who say that they’re “addicted to growth”. In the short-list of the six finalists we could still count with the presence of Diogo Salvi from TIM w.e., João Costa Reis, from Domusvenda and João Miranda from Frulact.

> 07.01.2008 TIM w.e. partners with Gorillabox to power video streaming
Gorillabox is a fully managed mobile TV enabler with which TIM w.e. has partnered to provide video streaming capabilities to mobile operators.
Gorillabox and TIM w.e. will co-operate on a non-exclusive basis to deploy the Gorillabox video streaming platform (the “g-box platform”) and also retail video content. TIM w.e. manages content for mobile operators such as Telefonica, Vodafone and Tigo in almost 60 countries and the agreement is global in scope.
Discussions are already underway with a number of operators in Europe and South America who are seeking a carrier-grade mobile streaming capability and a range of live channels which can be easily deployed and are language-free.
“While our existing platform covered the basic requirements that operators were receiving from their consumers, we needed an advanced video streaming platform,” said Thomas Kothuis, chief commercial officer of TIM w.e. “Gorillabox is the ideal partner for us with its “g-box platform”, through which the video streaming is powered. Gorillabox also allows the service provision to be tailored for each client and its demands accordingly, meaning we can cater for each customer individually and continue maintaining good relationships with our clients.”
Gorillabox and TIM w.e. will cooperate on all video streaming deployment and will also offer a range of video content.
“It’s a great opportunity for Gorillabox,” said Christian Harris, founder and CEO of Gorillabox. “This partnership will provide us with lots of scale over a short timeframe, and working with TIM w.e. globally with many different operators will open up new avenues for us.”

> 28.11.2007 TIM w.e. invests on new graphics, music and multimedia contents
TIM w.e. can now count on twenty three NEW global content suppliers. Amongst them we find Animatu, Fox Media and Extreme Sports Channel. New animations, songs, Java games, electronic cards, screensavers and wallpapers enrich the already large TIM w.e.’s offer.
Animatu will be providing TIM w.e. with animations, Java games and Wallpapers. Fox Media will provide graphics content and musicals; songs from the 70’s and 80’s, in addition to movie soundtracks. The Portuguese TV Network Extreme Sports will provide ringtones, videoclips and wallpapers, according to their sports programming content.
Other well known companies on the technology field like Efusione, Glu Mobile and India Games will also be supplying TIM w.e with various Java Games, as well as SliFi with wallpapers and Mobstart with wallpapers, videos, e-cards and ring tones.

> 01.11.2007 ITALY and USA
Following its amazing international expansion, the 1st November 2007, TIM w.e. officially entered the Italian Market with the Premium Short Number offer. The offer was launched with Telecom Italia Mobile (TIM), European leading operator in terms of GSM lines on a single. The integration with the other mobile operators Vodafone, Wind and 3 will be completed by the middle of December.
Also this month, TIM w.e. has opened a new Office in New York, USA, located in midtown Manhattan, in Lexington Avenue. With this opening the company intends to strengthen its presence in the US market, making this territory a priority for 2007 and 2008. Partnering with mBlox TIM w.e. will launch several new services until the end of the year in all Tier I carriers.

TIM w.e. decided to enter a new online business, capitalizing on one of the most fast-growing and lucrative markets of the internet, online dating. This service is for over 18 years old singles from all over the world, no matter the gender or cultural background, one of its main goals being to make it easier for everyone to meet their perfect match.
This service is one of the most profitable on the internet, making it possible to find the perfect match without time or place constraints. In terms of revenues, it is expected a total of 14 million euros for 2010 and an online investment of 4,5 million euros.
This match making service is already operational in Portugal, Latin America (Mexico and Brazil) and South Africa, having 60.000 registered users, 50% of which in Mexico.

TIM w.e. expects to cover in the near future more than 20 countries and to achieve 5 million users all over the world in just two years.
Since its foundation in 2002 TIM w.e. has always been determined in becoming the leader in the new media and technologies areas especially in the mobile and internet. The company aims to lead this convergence of technologies in the virtual dating market.

> 07.09.2007 POLAND
TIM w.e. will launch its new office abroad, in Poland, with four people and an estimated media investment of 5 million in 2008. The company already closed partnerships with Poland’s three major operators: ERA, Orange and Plus, which total 95% market penetration, covering 37,5 million subscribers. TIM w.e. expects this country to represent 1 to 2% of total revenues in 2009.

With potential 1 billion or more mobile phone users, China represents one of the most promising mobile-content markets in the world. This is an opportunity that TIMw.e. is preparing to capitalize on. TIM w.e. expects to enter the Chinese market either by the end of 2007 or, at the latest, the start of 2008, by establishing a local office or through an agreement with a local partner. Strategically, China factors into TIMw.e.’s future revenue projections as a major contributor and an engine for growth.

Timw.e. has signed a contract with record label Warner, third largest in the world, granting it exclusive rights and licenses to use Warner´s content for Ring Back Tones. This license agreement, representing such popular artists as Madonna and P Diddy, will be the latest addition to TIMw.e.´s already vast content portfolio which covers leading music labels such as Sony/BMG, EMI, and Disney. The deal covers all 49 countries in which TIMw.e. operates, establishing it as a world player in the mobile content market.

> 03.05.2007 INDIA, GEORGIA and KAZAKHSTAN
TIMw.e. is preparing to capitalize on the underdevelopment of banking in many countries by exploring a new line of business, digital recharging for prepaid mobile users. Recharging replaces prepaid scratch-cards with recharging devices placed in partner establishments (supermarkets, gas stations, metro stations, etc). At present, this new system is being tested in Georgia and will be soon launched in India and Kazakhstan, with other countries to follow. TIMw.e.´s partners in this enterprise are Euronet, a global leader in processing and securing electronic financial transactions, and Triostar, a distributor.

TIM w.e. has launched its new dating service in South Africa. At EROS Club you can chat with your friends and search for new people that meet your desired profile, ensuring your privacy. With a mobile penetration of 68% and a 25% rate of post-paid mobile phone, Saudi Arabia is an exciting market. 3 subscription clubs were launched first in English followed by Arabic one week later, with an offer that ranges from Games to Wallpapers.

TIM w.e. has launched its activities in Malasya in partnership with Mindmatics from Germany.Available on all operators – Maxis, Celcom and Digi, the service was first launched in English. The first club consists of a Daily Horoscope Service with the offer of one free ringtone for 3 Myrs/day. Malasya, with more than 26 million inhabitants, as close to 14,5 million mobile users, making it a very attractive market with a high growth potential.

TIM w.e. partnered with Sony/BMG for the video and audio recording of local artist Paulo Gonzo’s concert at Lisboa’s Coliseu.The concert, which was sold out, will now be edited in a Live DVD to be released early next year. However, the digital content will be made available before Christmas, exclusively to TIM w.e.’s clients. The company is capitalizing on it close relation with the label to further develop the mobile content business in its home market.

TIM w.e., Turkish market leader in the mobile content delivery industry, has just closed an agreement with Turkcell for the launch of new product “InCity Chat”, a city based chat application. With its 30 million subscribers Turkcell will endorse the service via its new portal Turkcell-im while TIM w.e. would market it via its TV partners.

TIM w.e. is preparing to launch an innovative Chat product that mixes Match-Making capabilities with Chat options. “EROS will be groundbreaking in the sense that for the first time South African users will be able to chat to people that have been matched to them with more that 15 different characteristics that range from sexual preference to diet and hobbies” commented Inês Pérez, Country Manager.
